Working across Dewsbury and Mirfield,
the Community Anchor Project is here to:
-
Assist local groups to develop, gain new skills, access opportunities and thrive.
-
Promote community resources helping people to get connected and involved
-
Support partnerships pathways and build community involvement
Our Anchor role is to be responsive to
local community wellbeing needs by working alongside and helping to link together local amenities: including centres and community groups, voluntary organisations, Social Prescribers, Kirklees community teams,
local mutual aid groups and business.
The purpose of the Kirklees Community Anchor Network is to:
“Establish a Network of Community Anchor organisations that enable communities to respond to community needs and opportunities and to organise in sustainable and inclusive ways.
Community Anchors help local groups make great things happen.”
